There is a small mineral opacity in the region of the L shoulder that is suspected to be a bone fragment, but the origin of the fracture or avulsion cannot be determined. The other structures of the shoulder appear to be aligned and symmetrical. AMS

When moving bird to new cage it was noted that there was a wing droop of the left wing. Light palpation by staff suggests that there is something abnormal in the left shoulder, possibly. After discussing options with Dr Sokoloff over the phone it was decided to wait to do radiographs until a vet could be present to anesthetize the patient for better quality imaging. Bird was placed in a wing to body wrap for support until then.
